MM 4-64(FM 4-64)是膜标记剂Membrane Marker 4-64的缩写,其化学名称为N-(3-三乙基铵丙基)-4-[6-(4-二乙氨基苯基)己三烯基]吡啶二溴化物。该染料在文献中也被称为"FM 4-64"(FM®为Molecular Probes公司注册商标)。作为一种亲脂性苯乙烯染料,MM 4-64可用作活体染色剂,用于追踪酵母细胞中的膜内化过程及物质运输至液泡的动态。
该染料是液泡动态变化的灵敏指示剂,可检测多种细胞事件,包括有丝分裂过程中隔离结构的形成、液泡裂变/融合事件,以及不同类别液泡蛋白分选突变体中的液泡形态变化。此外,MM 4-64还可用于体外检测内体到液泡的膜运输过程。
